The name comes from the Brothers Grimm. Two children get lost in a forest. The boy, Hansel, is the one with a plan. He marks the way with white pebbles, and they find their way home.
The second time, the birds eat his crumbs. They keep going anyway. They find a gingerbread house, outwit the witch, and walk home with her treasure.
That is roughly how building feels to me. Start on unfamiliar ground. Mark the path so others can follow. Keep going when a plan gets eaten. This site is the village I've built along the way.
What I build
AI agents that do real work, and the evals that check them. Research pipelines that read hundreds of thousands of documents on a small budget. Memory that several agents share.
How I work
Small bets with written budgets. Blind checks before claims. A verify step before anything ships. When something fails, it goes to the test kitchen, not the bin.
