Wholesale distribution ERP
Ranked 22 of 35 at 55 out of 100.
ERP systems for wholesale and industrial distributors.
What the evidence says
The checked evidence shows two bounded threads. A vendor release describes manual order-acceptance pain in distribution. One buyer filing documents migration and integration disruption at Ingram Micro. That is switching risk, not a generic old-ERP complaint.
Providers
The card checked three incumbents: Epicor, Infor and Pronto Software. Infor reports over 4,000 distribution companies on its undated page. Pronto reports over 1,500 organisations company-wide over 50-plus years. Epicor discloses no product or company customer count on the checked pages. The figures never share a denominator. No ranking is supported.
Conexiom is the recorded challenger. Its February 2025 release says it powers 16 of the top 20 industrial distributors. It is an order-automation overlay, not an ERP replacement. The AI-native label is vendor-attributed.

The pain
Order acceptance suffers manual processes, data errors and high cost-to-serve. That is a named practitioner’s statement inside a vendor release. The 74% problem-order figure is the vendor’s own analysis.
Ingram Micro’s 2011 Australian SAP conversion produced order delays. Connectivity resolved, but customer experience stayed below the legacy systems.

Events
Ingram Micro deployed SAP in Australia in February 2011. The filing documents diminished sales and margins, then partial recovery. Recovery context is preserved: the disruption was real but not permanent.
Sources:
Limits
The order-acceptance symptom is vendor marketing. The Ingram event is one buyer’s account with recovery context retained. The Ingram filing’s publication day is unknown.
